EPTDA Welcomes Four & PTDA Welcomes Five New Members

Four new high-quality EPTDA members from around Europe

EPTDA, the leading association in the PT/MC industry across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has welcomed four new member companies during the past couple of months. TRM from Italy and Duursma from the Netherlands are the two new distributor companies that have joined EPTDA after attending the Barcelona 2015 Annual Convention as guests. NACHI Europe (Germany) is a manufacturing company that makes high-quality PT/MC products and enjoys a strong international reputation. And last but not least, EPTDA has gained one new associate member, the cooperative venture ONE.

“As part of our Association’s Growth Initiative Programme, potential members that meet the membership criteria and are referred by member companies have the opportunity to attend one of our EPTDA annual conventions as guests and experience first-hand the advantages of belonging to this leading executive platform,” comments Hans Hanegreefs, EPTDA’s Executive Vice-President. “The retention rate of guests at the annual conventions is very high, and EPTDA is proud to present itself to prospective members at its finest during the leading event of the year for the PT/MC industry. We are therefore hoping to welcome many guests to Berlin this September as well.”

TRM is a consolidated specialised industrial supplier of linear motion and positioning solutions and of mechanical transmission components and bearings. Ever since its inception, back in 1989, the company has skilfully made its mark by selecting top-quality products and industrial partners, focusing on the level of specialisation and aiming at dimensional and geographical expansion. The focus on continuous technological evolution in the fields of automation applications and precision mechanical engineering has enabled TRM to expand its product portfolio, by combining its own product brands and the distribution of primary brands.

“Our company is honoured to join EPTDA and, as a new member, we hope to contribute to its future growth,” says Luca Martelli, CEO at TRM. “We firmly believe in the power of networking for progress, and we consider the exchange of information and experience to be of priceless value. Market data will surely help us to drive our business forward and keep our services up to date based on customer needs. We attended the last Annual Convention in Barcelona as guests, and we truly appreciated the environment, as well as the experience. We look forward to being at the next event and meeting other members there.”

PT/MC company Duursma has specialised in power transmission since 1896, with highly motivated and well-trained staff to serve its customers 24/7. As a distributor of A-brands, with product specialists in every field and 11 stores in the Netherlands, Duursma is a force to be reckoned with in our industry. Its status as technical wholesaler, its local presence, in-house repair shops, tailor-made warehouse solutions on site, sufficient stock and lean organisation are just a few of the attributes that make it a perfect technical partner for any industry. The company handles drive technology, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics, hand and electric tools, processing (including metal processing), welding equipment, personal protection, industrial hoses and much more. Duursma is privately owned and has been a member of Industrie Partner (IP) since 2014, and of the ONE group since 2016. All with the aim of staying ahead and strengthening its position through collaboration with like-minded companies that put the customer first.

Commenting on why Duursma joined EPTDA, Andre Looijen, its Managing Director, says: “The internet is changing the world, the way we work and our expectations. If you think global, there are no limits to the possibilities; if you act local, there are no limits to the threats. We see the world, our world, as our playground and want to meet and learn from other distributors and manufacturers. EPTDA is the perfect platform to find the right sparring partners, as we already discovered at the 2015 Barcelona convention.”

NACHI Europe GmbH is part of the NACHI Fujikoshi Corp. and has been serving the industry for almost half a century. NACHI has an extraordinarily long and successful history in manufacturing a broad range of highly sophisticated technical products. Apart from bearings, it makes tools, hydraulics and special steel, as well as robots. About 6,000 people in 50 locations worldwide are highly motivated to meet customer requirements.

“We are very happy to be a member of EPTDA,” says Thomas Ammerpohl, Sales Manager at NACHI. “For us, as a globally oriented, integrated high-tech enterprise with a decent market share of the power transmission-related business, it is a must to be part of this community. We believe that EPTDA is the most important organisation to promote the PT industry and offers an outstanding platform for exchanging ideas with business partners.”

ONE is a cooperative venture between companies in France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom. It offers a Europe-wide network for the procurement of mechanical spare parts, coupled with high standards of technical services. Supply capability and customer services associated with the products are the basis on which supply concepts for total cost reduction and process optimisation at the customer end are developed.

Elisabeth Meister, ONE Managing Director, who is also the immediate past President of EPTDA, says: “Many of our ONE members have been EPTDA members for a long time and, as ONE, we do provide another supply alternative to European customers. EPTDA plays a major role in European distribution and so we believe that ONE should also be part of the Association.”

All the new members of EPTDA will be attending the Berlin 2016 Annual Convention in September and will be able to find out more about EPTDA and also promote their own activities at the First Timer reception, which will take place during the first day of the convention, onWednesday 21 September. Registration for the Berlin 2016 Annual Convention opened on 18 March and the dedicated Convention website (www.eptdaconvention.org) provides full details about this exclusive event.
